However before you go spend your hard earned money on diet access to the 11 day diet I suggest we take a minute and find out what that is going to get you.

The 11 day diet program found at fatloss4idiots.com offers access to their 11 day diet program in two different ways.  In aptly named diet package #1 and diet package #2  are downloadable from their website after you pay the fee of $39.00 dollars or $16.95 depending on which package you choose.

Diet Package 1 gets you access to the online diet generator or the tool they claim generates the specific meal plan you need to follow over the 11 day period in order to lose 9 pounds.  The #1 diet package also allows you access to the diet handbook. Which unfortunately they don’t really describe all that well on the site.

Diet package 2 on the other hand is a package they are calling beyond calories and is simply a add on to diet package 1.  Beyond calories is diet access to more tips and tricks to losing weight fast. They say that access to diet package too will talk about a “totally different way to lose weight using H.S. Food”.  Now I don’t know what H.S. foods are and from the additional info that says “You’ll learn about H.S. Foods if you add on this product” it think it is just a moniker that made up for a new diet plan.

So for roughly $60.00 you can get diet access for the 11 day diet in 2 ways.  I personally wouldn’t do it, but on their checkout page the do offer a guarantee which is rare when it comes to weight loss systems.  According to the sales page you can get a 60 day weight loss guarantee or you will get 100% of your money back.

About the HCG Diet

The HCG Diet has been in existence in one form or another for well over half a century. The principles are quite simple, though the importance of following the diet exactly can not be stressed enough. Boiled down to the very basics, the HCG diet consists of taking a series of shots- usually one per day- and eating a super low calorie diet. How many calories depends on which HCG diet that you choose to follow. The original Dr. Simeons’ HCG diet limits dietary intake to 500 calories a day, but I’ve heard that some other specialists are a bit more lenient.

Origin of the HCG Diet

HCG was discovered in the early 1900′s. It is produced in early pregnancy by the embryo, and later by the placenta. It is the hormone that is used to identify whether a woman is pregnant or not in both blood and at home urine tests.

While Dr. Simeons was in India he observed doctors treating boys who hadn’t developed properly with injections of HCG. While these boys lost no weight, their bodies began to reshape themselves- losing fat around the hips and bust- and gradually acquired gender correct shapes.

Since women in particular store fat in order to help them remain healthy and nourish their babies in case of famine, Dr. Simeons correctly surmised that the pregnancy hormone could help men and women to lose weight under the right conditions. After many years of testing those conditions, he published his findings.

The HCG Diet Menu Plan

The HCG diet menu is very simple, but nothing can be substituted except for the options on the list.

Breakfast consists of nothing but as much tea or coffee as you want, calorie free sweeteners only, and no more than 1 Tablespoon of milk per day.

Lunch is 100 grams/3.5 oz of lean protein (all visible fat must be trimmed), 1 of the allowed vegetables, 1 grissino (long, thin bread stick) or 1 melba toast, and an apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.

Dinner is the same choices as above, and foods may be seasoned, but no butter, oil, or other fatty seasonings are allowed.

HCG Diet Protocol

The HCG diet is different in so many ways from most other diets, and especially from other short term diets such as the 3 day diet, the 11 day diet, and so on. For one thing, the menu allows for much variety, and only requires that you stick to the options on the list and keep your daily calorie intake to 500 calories or less. For another, pre-diet gorging is actually encouraged.

There is a reason for this. If you begin cutting calories before beginning the HCG diet, your body may lower your metabolism to compensate. To prevent this, it’s recommended that you gorge yourself on as much fatty food as possible for the first 3 days after beginning your HCG injections. If you’ve been dieting recently, it’s recommended that you gorge yourself for a full week before beginning the injections and for the first 3 days after beginning the injections.

HCG Diet Review

While I’m a strong advocate of eating healthy rather than eating to lose weight (or not eating, as the case may be), I actually find the HCG diet to be the safest, and probably the healthiest of all the short term diets that I’ve seen. Because the HCG tricks your body into believing that it’s pregnant and the low calorie diet makes your body believe that it’s in famine, the weight that you lose is all fat. Without the HCG, your body would still believe that it’s in famine, but would immediately begin to conserve all the calories that it can in the form of fat, to guard against malnutrition should you become pregnant during the famine. But with the HCG, your body believes that now is the time to use those resources instead of building them up.

While most fad diets tout that you can lose a pound a day by starving yourself, the HCG diet allows you to lose that amount of weight without starving. The diet is limited to 40 days or 35 pounds at the most, followed by a rest period after which you may begin again should you need to lose more weight. Generally, the weight stays off, but a reasonable diet with exercise needs to be followed when not on the diet, though if the weight comes back you can simply do the HCG diet again.

11 Day Diets

Unlike many of the other day diets, specifically the 3 day diet, the 11 day diet is not overrun with variations and aliases claiming to be different versions of the diet. In fact in all of my research I was only able to find 1 specific version of the 11 day diet.

The 11 day diet also known as the idiot proof diet is 11 day diets plan (obviously) that uses a diet regimen that is similar to the exercise regimen of the p90x diet plan.  The 11 day diet uses what I will term metabolism confusion to help you lose weight, which is kind of a play on the p90x day diets muscle confusion, although outside of that I wouldn’t consider the 11 day diet anywhere near as healthy or good as a diet.

Doing the 11 Day Diets Meal Plan:

The 11 Day diet is not a free diet so I cannot list the specifics of the diet on this page.  Instead I can only give you a brief review of what I think of the diet and the overall concepts of what it is trying to accomplish.  If after you read this article you really want to learn more about the diet it is available for $27.00 for a 90 day subscription at the author’s website.

The 11 day diets concept as I mentioned above is similar to the p90x diets concept of muscle confusion, but in this case metabolism confusion.  That is where the similarities stop though.

The 11 day diet consists of a wide variety of foods for you to create many different meals with over an 11 day period.  The idea is to make sure that you are not eating the same thing twice so that your metabolism cannot create a system or fall into a pattern when it is breaking down your food and using it to create energy and so on and so forth.

The authors of the diet are suggesting that your metabolism has a memory and uses your past eating habits to create a routine for itself.  This routine becomes unfavorable to losing weight, and in order to lose weight from now on you basically need to keep you metabolism on its toes.

Realistically this idea seems to me like bullsh**.  Not to be harsh, but it just seems all hoaxish to me.  Same goes for the muscle confusion concept of the p90x diet.  But that is at topic for another day.

Is there such a thing as an idiot proof diet? There just maybe.

The 11 Day Diet which is also known as the idiot proof diet takes a different approach to weight loss.  Instead of a strict meal plan that limits the types of food you consume on a daily basis the diet asks you to constantly change what foods you are eating.

The theory behind the 11 day diet is that your body’s metabolism has been influenced by your past eating habits and that you will never be able to lose weight without constantly changing what you are eating.

Another way to look at is that: your metabolism has a memory, and it reacts to your eating habits the same way over and over again based on how you have eaten throughout your life.  The diet suggests if you are constantly changing your eating habits your metabolism won’t have the ability to sit idly and process food in the same way.  Meaning that your metabolism will always be working and always be burning more fat and processing food more efficiently.

They put forward as proof for the diet the fact that you need to diet.  You have struggled with your weight for some time and you haven’t been doing this, so this is the only way to fix it.

How to do the 11 Day Diet:

The 11 Day Diet or Idiot Proof Diet is not a free diet so I cannot list the actual requirements of the diet on this website without infringing on the copy write of the authors of the website that sells it.

Do I recommend the 90 Day diet?

No, to me the idea that your metabolism has a memory is absurd.  Your body absolutely recognizes eating habits and your brain will store fat for times of famine, and burn calories based on many different eating habits.  But I don’t believe that confusing your metabolism by eating many different foods it going to help you lose any weight.

In my opinion if you are trying to lose weight it is much more beneficial to speak to a physician or nutritionist that can help you develop a meal plan and exercise program fit to your weight loss needs.

The 11 Day Diet was created by internet marketers to make money from a very lucrative niche and not by a professional dietician.  Before you buy the “Idiot Proof Diet” make the smart choice and talk to your doctor.

3 Day Diet Results

The most asked question about the 3 day diet is; what are the 3 day diet results? Or similar what kind of results will I see with the 3 day diet, how much weight will I lose on the three day diet, etc…

The answer: depending on whom you talk to will vary from 2 pounds to the full 10 advertised pounds.

However the likelihood of the 3 day diet results being 10 pounds is pretty much slim to none.

There are constant arguments about whether the diet is healthy, unhealthy, good, bad, so on and so forth. But one thing I have noticed while researching the 3 day diet is that although the results may vary, there almost always seems to be some sort of positive results. People almost always seem to be losing some kind of weight.

You may have read one or two of my other articles on the 3 day diet already, and if you have you will know that I don’t think very highly of the diet. I personally feel like it creates a bad relationship with food, exercise, and will eventually lead to further weight gain. This diet is not aimed at building a healthy lifestyle, but with that said it does do a very good job of helping you lose weight, and most of the time that is exactly what we are looking to do.

The combination of low caloric intake from the strict nutrition plan and the loss of water weight from drinking coffee will undoubtedly help you see the results you are looking for fast.

I would expect the results of the 3 day diet to be more around 3 to 4 lbs than 10. Simply because losing more that a pound a day on any diet is unlikely, especially one in which you are not utilizing exercising, building muscle, or burning fat. And you are ultimately just starving and dehydrating yourself.

Does the Chemical 3 Day Diet Work?

The Chemical 3 Day Diet will help you lose weight. But, it does not work as it is described.

Eating the specific menu above does not create a chemical breakdown or metabolic reaction to help you lose 10 lbs in three days. The likely explanation for weight loss during the 3 day diet is that you are not eating enough food and you are dehydrating your body.

The regimented menu for the diet is too few calories for you body to be satisfied. Basically your body will not be receiving the nutrients it needs in order to create the energy you need on a daily basis. Your body will then start burning fat, and muscle in order to find the energy it needs. Second the overuse of diuretics such as coffee simply pulls more water from your cells and in response much of the weight you lose is water weight.

This means after you have completed the diet and you return to normal food and drink intake you are likely to gain back the weight that you lost.

Is the Chemical 3 Day Diet Healthy?

From a health standpoint you should consult your family physician before beginning the diet. The Chemical 3 Day Diet is not specifically unhealthy, but depending on your medical history, allergies, or any medications you may be taking the risk factors will differ.

Psychologically the 3 Day Diet does not benefit your long term weight loss goals. Proper diet and exercise are the best and smartest ways to lose weight. Using a short term fad diet such as this will only create an unhealthy relationship with food, weight loss, and exercise.

Finishing the Chemical 3 Day Diet is more likely to leave you dehydrated and amped to gain the weight back or even gain more weight that before.

While also known as the Hollywood Diet and the Mayo Clinic Diet (not actually endorsed by the Mayo Clinic) the 3 Day Grapefruit Diet consists of eating high protein and high fat foods. The diet itself has been around since the 1930′s and through that time has been developed into many different variations although it usually lasts anywhere from 3 to 12 days and typically involves eating a lot of grapefruit. Supposedly grapefruit is supposed to contain a special enzyme that burns fat though scientific studies have proved otherwise thus questioning the actual power of the grapefruit.

It is generally recommended to eat half a grapefruit or to drink grapefruit juice with each meal while at the same time reducing caloric intake to the 800-1000 a day range. Considering this is such a low number of calories most believe that the reduced number of calories is the real reason as to why people lose weight instead of the grapefruit. The 3 Day Grapefruit Diet usually involves eating for a set amount of days, then taking a 2 day break and starting the diet over again if needed.

The 3 Day Grapefruit Diet is a fad diet which can typically be classified with the general rules of ruling out entire food groups, eating a high amount of anything fatty, sugary or high in cholesterol along with increased caffeine intake, lack of variety in foods consumed and certain food combinations touted to burn fat. As with most quick weight loss diets, participants tend to lose weight however that weight is usually just water. Water weight is easy to remove yet also very easy to gain back again just as quickly. Most people will lose the water weight and a few days later gain the weight back because the diet doesn’t actually burn any fat.

It is always advised to speak to your doctor ahead of time before starting any kind of diet as each person is different. Of course eating a healthy mix of foods and exercising regularly is arguably one of if not the best ways to successfully burn fat and stay healthy.
