7 Day Protein Diet

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

The 7 day protein diet is different from many of the other diet plans that we feature. Obviously, protein is the main ingredient in the diet, but it is not the only one that is involved. Like many of the other 7 day diet protocols you have choice day to day in what you want to eat. You just have to make sure that what you eat is high in protein, after all, that is what the diet is all about

Goal of the 7 day protein diet

The goal or the aim of this particular diet, the 7 day protein diet, is to help you build muscle while you are working out. Everyone knows that building muscle will help to keep your metabolism high enough to continuously burn fat that is on your body.

Therefore, this diet is different that many we have talked about before because the point is to eat specific foods while you are exercising. So if you came here looking for a diet that you were  going to follow for a few days and the weight was going to magically fall off of you, then this isn’t the diet plan for you.

However, if you came here looking to put in some work and need something that is going to help you out along the way, then the 7 day protein diet might be just what you are looking for. It takes a person of strong dedication and will in order to be success with this diet and I don’t want you to get it twisted thinking you can just throw your hat in the arena, say you are going to follow this diet plan, and never end up losing any type of weight in your life. That isn’t what this one is all about.

Types of Foods in the 7 Day Protein Diet

Eventually, the question comes up, what type of foods are in the 7 day protein diet? Usually, I respond with foods that are high in protein, but instead of being like that I will just give a few of the items that you will be  consuming. If they are too your liking, then maybe this is the diet plan for you.

The 7 day protein diet consists of thin cuts of meats, poultry, fish, low-fat or fat-free dairy, nuts, seeds and numerous vegetarian options, such as tofu, seitan, beans, legumes and grains. The list goes on and on, but the common denominator is that they are all high in protein as the 7 day protein diet calls.

7 Day Miracle Diet

Do miracles exist? If they do it isn’t in diet format.  A diet is a combination of healthy eating and exercise and any diet claiming to be a miracle is just using a market technique to sell you something that doesn’t necessarily work as described.  This 7 day diet is nothing more than another run of the mill weight loss system that can help you lose weight, but not the way your body was meant to.

Weight loss doesn’t revolve around miracles; instead it takes exercise and smart eating.

The 7 Day Miracle diet doesn’t offer either of those. It offers pills and cheats to try to trick your system into losing weight. Weight you are more than likely to gain back once you have stopped using the diet.

Leave the miracles at home when it comes to dieting.  Speak with a nutritionist and develop a long term plan to change your lifestyle into a healthy one.  Any diet that suggests cutting entire food groups, taking pills, or foregoes exercise and replaces it with a marketing campaign is no diet for you.

Don’t be fooled by the flashing lights, low prices, and buzzwords that you see on TV when the 7 Day Miracle Diet is being pitched to you, it is not worth you time or money.

If you want to lose weight you should check out some diets that are proven and endorsed by physician’s not ones endorsed by d level celebrities.

The 7 Day Miracle Diet is not a solution for weight loss, but a stepping stone toward a life of constant yo yo and fad dieting that will result in frustration and health risks.

Even after my harsh words I feel I should at least tell you where you can find more information about the diet.  If you are still interested in completing the 7 day miracle diet it can be purchased from Amazon.com using the following link.

7 Day Low Fat Diet

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

If you are going to go on a 7 day low fat diet, then there are a few things that you should get to know first. Everyone wants to jump into a diet before they give real diet and exercise a change to work in their lives. It amazes me how many people would rather yo-yo diet as they call it, instead of making real effective change in their lives with a steady regiment of eating right and getting some physical fitness in each and everyday.

The thing to know about the 7 day low fat diet is that there are a large numbers of 7 day diet plans. This shouldn’t bother you, but just serve as a warning that there are other options out there to choose from if this one doesn’t work out for you.

The concept behind doing any type of fad diet such as the seven day low fat diet is to burn more calories than you take into your body. Fat is considered one of those contents that contain a lot of calories and therefore are not good to eat when you are dieting. One of the issues that we have with many of these day diets is that they preach results, but only deliver a small number of calories for you to eat on a day to day basis, thus, you will burn that off, but it is not enough calories for you to survive on a regular basis. Therefore, once you are off the diet you tend to over eat to compensate for the time you were on the diet and thus not lose any real weight over a sustained period of time.

If you are going to try a fad diet, at least the 7 day low fat diet is one that doesn’t bloat you up before it is time to lose the weight and tries to focus on eating foods that are good for you.

7 Day Low Carb Diet

When it comes to low carbohydrate diets I am going to be the first person to pass on them. I know many people that have done them, and many of those people have lost weight even in the long term.  However, my personal preference and knowledge of weight loss reveals 1 persistent truth. Your body needs carbohydrates to create energy.

The 7 day low carb diet would probably fall into the category of a fad diet.  Like most short term weight loss programs the 7 day low carb diet seems to have gotten some inspiration for another diet and taken a few techniques and promised maximum results with minimum effort.  In this case you will see similarities to the ever famous Atkins diet which is a long term low carbohydrate diet. The only low carb diet I would ever consider doing, because after the initial starting period you begin working healthy, smart carbohydrate back into your diet.

But anyway, let’s get to the 7 day diet version.

The Benefits of the 7 Day Low Carb Diet Plan:

The benefits of participating in a low carb diet are generally quick weight loss and a generally you will find yourself hungry less.  Carbohydrates are sugars that you body burns to create energy, but more often than not we do not eat the correct carbs and our body turns these sugars to fat.  If you reduce the amount of unhealthy carbohydrates in your diet you are likely to quickly lose weight.

You shouldn’t feel as hungry because you will be relying on more protein in a low carbohydrate diet and protein fills you up more that carbs do.

The Worries of the 7 Day Low Carb Diet

Dieting in any extreme can be dangerous.  Your body does need carbohydrates. Do not eliminate carbs completely from your diet or you may find yourself with less energy than normal.  Also another program associated with the 7 day low carb diet is an increase in consumption of red meats.  You don’t have to eat beef and eggs to get protein.  Consume more lean meats like poultry to keep the amount of cholesterol you are consuming lower or you may end up having heart problems.

As always don’t take my word for it. Consult your family physician, dietician, or nutritionist to see if the diet is a healthy option for you before you begin.

    7 Day Liquid Diet

    Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

The 7 day liquid diet is suppose to be one of these diet plans that is built to detox or cleanse your body of many of the toxins that you have picked up over the past with your alcohol and bad eating habits. The goal of this diet is to flush your system of all that mess and put you on solid ground so that you are able to go out and be able to build a solid foundation on top of it.

The concept of all the 7 day diet plans are great and this one is no exception. It is our believe that if you follow the 7 day liquid diet then you will lose weight, but not because the diet plan is outstanding at what it does, but because you are depriving your body of the nutrients, calories, and foods that it needs to survive. As we have mentioned many times on this site, if you give your body  less than it needs to survive, then you are going to burn extra calories and as a result, lose weight.

With that said, we don’t believe trying the 7 day liquid diet from time to time is going to be harmful to your body. However, if you plan on doing this particular diet in back to back weeks or a even two times in a month, then we feel that this might not be the best course of action. Because the liquid diet doesn’t take into account much of the substance your body needs, there could be a long term problem associated with it.

Yet if you insist on giving the 7 day liquid diet a try, then go for it once. Listen to your body and how it is telling you it feels and move through the daily program drinking the concoctions that they have dreamed up for you. But if the 7 day liquid diet is making you feel tired and with a lack of energy, then cut it off immediately for the sake of your health.

    7 Day Juice Diet

    Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

The 7 day juice diet is something you have heard of because there is a program that is selling it. This particularly 7 day diet is something of great interest as people are ready and interested in losing weight in 7 days as the commercial for the diet tells every one. But before we give our opinion, let’s get the basics.

    7 Day Juice Diet Overview

This is a very interesting program by anyone’s account. The basis of the program is to help you gain the nutrients and minerals your body needs to survive, but also to game much, much more. The program promises to flush your system out in a detox manner that will improve everything in your life. Also, it says it will activate the fat burning cells in your body to help you lose the weight that you desire.

The entire program is based on drinking various juices that you blend and mixed together from natural resources. And the program doesn’t include any type of weightlifting what’s so ever.

    7 Day Juice Diet Review

In our honest opinion, this is a bunch of mess, but if you have had some success with this diet please share your experiences. The reason we say it is mess is because if you deprive your body of the number of calories it needs to make it on a day to day basis, then obviously you are going to lose weight.

Yes, drinking nothing but these juices will allow you to temporarily lose some weight, but how would you keep it off as after the diet you are going to be very hungry and prone to overeating again. This yo yo dieting where your weight goes up and down is not healthy at all.

But that is our opinion of the 7 day juice diet, what is yours?

    7 Day Heart Diet

The 7 Day Heart Diet is a fad diet similar to the 3 day heart diet.  It is a diet that has been around for years and has been changing its name and identity to continue to trick would be dieters into completing the diet and buying the merchandise the authors are trying to sell.

The most popular names for the diet are the Sacred Heart Diet, the 7 Day Cleveland Clinic Diet, and the 7 Day American Heart Association Diet.  These are in fact the exact pseudonyms the 3 day diet goes by, and just like the 3 day diet the majority of these medical organizations have come out disassociating themselves from them and in some case even suggesting the people stay away from them.

    7 Day Heart Diet Plan

The 7 Day Diet has a very specific meal plan for you to follow.  It is beyond specific in my opinion. It is wildly specific.  The following table will identify what foods and instructions you must eat and follow to successfully complete the diet.

Day 1 Any fruit (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only soup and fruit today.
Day 2 All vegetables. Eat until you are full with fresh raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn.
Eat veggies along with the soup.
A baked potato and dinner time with butter.
Don’t eat any fruits through today.
Day 3 Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want. Do not have a baked potato.
Day 4 Bananas and skim milk: Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup.
Day 5 Beef and tomatoes: you may have 10 to 20 ounces of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 tomatoes on this day. Eat the soup at least once today.
Day 6 Beef and veggies, eat to your heart’s content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.
Day 7 Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and veggies, until full (and eat the soup).
You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish.

    7 Day Heart Diet Goals

The 7 Day Heart Diet proclaims some pretty lofty accomplishments and goals.  In fact the diet authors state you can lose 10 to 17 pounds in the first week.  This goal is pretty much impossible to meet by using this diet.  You are more likely to lose 3-5 pounds over a week and much of it will be due to water weight loss.

    7 Day Heart Diet Review

This diet is not unhealthy like many of the fad diets that have come before it.  Now don’t get me wrong, it isn’t healthy either, but it doesn’t actually make terrible suggestions.  Many of the foods included in the 7 day heart diet are smart choices when you are dieting, and there are some others in there that you might want to pass on. That much soup could be a problem because soups generally are very high in sodium.

The smart way to diet is to talk to a nutritionist or dietician and build a meal and exercise plan specifically design for you and you health condition.

    Seven Day Weight Loss Diet

There is more than one 7 day weight loss diet, but when discussing which 7 day diet to use, the most popular by far is the 7 day cabbage soup diet. Perhaps it is because the cabbage soup diet has received so much press, maybe it’s because there are so many cabbage soup recipe books. It probably is only because the cabbage soup diet promises that you’ll lose about 10 lbs in 7 days.

Most people feel that they can stick to any diet if it’s only for 7 days, especially if the reward is a 10 lb weight loss. But when you add in the fact that you can eat as much as you want while on the diet, its popularity goes through the roof. The funny thing is, eating as much as you want is not the same thing as eating whatever you want, and any little deviation from the prescribed diet menu can nullify all the work and self control that you’ve exerted. After all, a 7 day weight loss diet plan is called a diet for a reason.

It’s very difficult for most people to stick to a mainly fruit and vegetable diet for long periods of time, and it’s not just a matter of mind over desire. Your body is designed to need fats, proteins, and other vitamins and minerals that can’t be gotten from a strictly fruit and vegetable diet. When you don’t receive all of the nourishment that your body actively needs, your cravings will go crazy, and this is one of the reasons that diets fail. Either the dieter gives in before the diet is over, or as soon as the diet is over, the dieter goes on a binge. Did you know that a craving for chocolate often indicates a need for more zinc? Knowing these things before hand will give you a better chance at surviving a 7 day weight loss diet intact. After all, if you know why you’re craving these things, it will be easier to combat the cravings, and you may be able to resist over indulging at the end of the 7 days.
