While every 7 day diet has a strictly regimented and specifically ordered (no switching days around) menu plan, this easy 7 day diet has a simpler than usual menu and allows you to eat as much food as you wish! Even on days where there are some restrictions (no more than 8 bananas, or no more than 6 tomatoes), you still can have unlimited amounts of the cabbage soup. And while it’s not a good idea, because there is no minimum or maximum restriction on most diet days, if you don’t like the day’s offerings or forget to do your shopping in time, you can simply eat nothing but your cabbage soup and drink water.

Though there are many claims that this easy cabbage soup diet is great for fat burning or detox, there is no scientific proof behind this, and while you are guaranteed to lose 5-10lbs if the diet is followed strictly, most of the weight loss will be water.

While a heavy emphasis on vegetables and fruits is never a bad thing, the body needs protein and fat to function (this is not the same thing as sugar- you do not need to consume sugar for optimal health) properly, and even legumes are banned on this diet.
