3 Day Diet Detox

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

The 3 Day Diet Detox program is not associated with the 3 day diet or any of the variations that we have discussed so far on this website. The focus of this program is on detoxification, or the cleansing of your body by removing toxins that may have been accrued from the use of unhealthy substances such as drugs or alcohol. And even some substances that we may not believe to be harmful such as additives to fruits, proteins, and milk.

How does the 3 Day Diet Detox program work?

The diet is pretty simple. You are trying to clean your body, so you can only put clean substances into it. First and foremost you should consult your family physician before starting any diet to see if it is right for you.

Now that you know the diet is right for you, there are a few rules that you must follow in order to detoxify your body. First don’t eat anything that needs to be cooked during the 3 day period. Fish, poultry, beef, and pork all contain additives that may be harmful to your body; that is unless you are purchasing grass feed organic products. So for our first efforts we are going to be staying away from cooked foods for 3 days.

Our next step is focusing on fluids. Don’t drink anything but water! Water is the closest thing to a pure and healthy beverage. Fruit juices are high in sugar, coffee has caffeine, and soda is made with chemicals. Stick to water and you will be on the road to a healthier you in know time. If you must and I mean must have something else you can have a maximum of 1 cup of fruit juice, but it has to be from fresh fruit that you have squeezed yourself.

No cooked food, soda, fruit juice, coffee, and obviously beer, alcohol or wine. So what can you have? Eat fruits and vegetables. With grocery stores stocking fresh fruit and vegetables from all over the world it is easy to find a wide variety of flavors that can satisfy your cravings and hunger without providing the additives or toxins that are injected into the items we spoke about above. You must have a well balanced mixture of both fresh fruit and vegetables. Also you need to find a healthy source of protein to help your body create energy and burn fat. Unsalted Almonds and other nuts can be a great source of protein so I suggest finding as many varieties of nuts as you can and finding out which suites your palate best.

Your body was meant to keep you healthy so you must help it help you. During the 3 day diet detox you should perform at least 20 minutes of a brisk exercise daily; like walking to help burn calories and metabolize the substances in your body.

The 3 Day Diet Detox program is meant to help you cleanse your body and if you follow the diet for 3 days you should see signs of weight loss and you should just feel better all around. Good luck!

Cardiac 3 Day Diet

Monday, May 24th, 2010

The Cardiac 3 Day Diet which is generally referred to as the 3 Day Cardiac diet is a fad or yoyo diet that misleads would be dieters by promising weight loss of up to 10 lbs in just 3 days.

The concept behind the diet is that by following a very strict meal plan for 3 days the body will basically go through a magic change or metabolic transformation in which you will start burning fat faster than you normally would.

Basically it is a bunch of nonsense thrown together to get you to do the diet for somebody else’s financial gain, although I am not really sure who since you have found this article for free on the internet. Anyway…Losing weight while participating in the cardiac 3 day diet is possible, however I don’t think it is because of the metabolic transformation. It probably has more to do with a loss of water weight, the specific meal plan that this diet involves following contains 3 to 4 cups of coffee and little to nothing else to drink.

The Cardiac 3 Day Diet doesn’t incorporate any type of exercise plan or long term nutrition plan into the diet. Once the 3 days are over the diet says to eat as normal for 4 to 5 days and then begin the diet again if you are interested in losing more weight. I am not sure what eat as “normal” means. If they are recommending going back to the way you ate before which made you overweight in the first place, I am not sure how that would help at all. So, that right there is where my description of the diet as being a yoyo diet comes in to play.

Here is my perception of the Cardiac 3 Day Diet; Basically what you do is eat poorly for 3 days, lose a little bit of water weight, eat normal for 4 days and put it all back on, then eat poorly again for 3 days.

My suggestion to you before trying the cardiac 3 day diet would be to go talk to you physician or a nutritionist and plan for a diet that includes a healthy meal plan and exercise regiment. The best and fastest weigh to lose weight is through a balanced diet and exercise and it is 3 day diet plans like this that often create eating disorders and health problems for dieters in the long term

The 3 day Cardiac diet is one of many variations on a the original 3 day diet formed in the 1980s. Some other aliases you may see the 3 day diet using are the 3 day heart diet, the 3 day hospital diet, and the 3 day chemical breakdown diet. I would avoid these diets as well as they serve a similar purpose and don’t bestow the virtues of healthy eating and exercise.

3 Day Diet Plan

The 3 Day Diet Plan is a fad diet created in the 1980s and was originally called simply the 3 day diet. Since then the diet has seen many variations and been called many names. The 3 Day Cardiac Diet, the 3 Day Hospital Diet, and the Miracle 3 Day Diet are just a few of the identities by which the 3 Day Diet Plan is known.

No matter what the name the 3 day diet plan is going by, it often times has a very similar meal plan and generally all iterations have little to no exercise associated with them.

What is the 3 Day Diet Plan?

As I mentioned before the 3 day diet plan has many adaptations. Instead of explaining each of them in this article I am going to outline the general concept and meal plan for the original 3 day diet. If you are interested in learning the details of the other variations of the 3 day diet plan I suggest searching our website for them as we have explained the majority of them in detail on their own pages.

The 3 Day Diet Plan has a very simple concept. Follow 3 days of eating a specific meal plan without doing any exercise and your body will create a metabolic reaction that will help you lose 10 lbs in just 3 days.

Is the 3 Day Diet Plan Healthy?

Before you start any diet I would suggest consulting your family’s physician. The 3 Day Diet plan is not recommended to be performed for more than 3 days, and does not combine healthy eating or exercise which are the 2 necessities in losing weight and being healthy.

Doe the 3 Day Diet Plan Work?

I personally have never attempted the 3 day diet plan.  For me I do not like the idea of following a fad or yo yo diet. The 3 days diet does not incorporate exercise and in my opinion may help you lose weight that will be gained back once you begin eating in your normal fashion. The 3 Day Diet Plan may work for you, but theorist believe that the majority of weight lost on this plan is water weight, and is not fat.  As I said before be sure to speak with you physician before starting any diet to see if the 3 day diet plan is a viable option for you.

3 Days Diet

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Life, working, family, and the 3 days diet can lead to a ton of stress in the life of one person. But if you are looking to lose some quick weight for an event, class reunion, or trying to fit into that dress that you bought last year, then the 3 day diet might be exactly what you need.

History of the 3 Days Diet

Like most fad diets, the 3 days diet was born out of the craze of 1985, where millions of people all of a sudden went on this short crash diet. Many of these diets like the 3 day cardiac diet, 3 day chemical breakdown diet, 3 day grapefruit diet and even the 3 day tuna diet were born during this time, so our 3 days diet is not totally out of the ordinary.

3 Days Diet Warning

There are some cautions that I want to throw out to you before we get into the day diet menu plan. And those cautions include acknowledging that this diet will not give all the nutrients and ingredients you need to lead a healthy, active life, so do yourself a favor and be sure not to use this diet back to back cycles or even more than once in a month.

How the 3 Days Diet Works

The 3 days diet centers around making sure that you only have certain foods during the time period, a minimal amount of calories, and enough fruit and other materials to get your enzymes working properly while your metabolic rate increases to maximize calorie burn.

Each day you follow a specific meal plan that we will provide below for your benefit. There is not much fluctuation to this diet as it is pretty specific, so don’t expect a lot of variety in your choices. Just take what is offered, stick with the plan, and give it a shot for 3 days.

These diets were not to make it out of the roaring 80′s, but somehow they did and many people are sticking with them today. Obviously there must be some truth to them and the fact that they work.

How does the 3 day diet work?

The concept behind the three day diets is to get your metabolism rate up as high as possible. This way your body will be able to burn the calories you need in order to achieve maximum weight lost. In addition to raising the metabolism rate, the secondary goal is to get your regularly using the bathroom to excrete the excess waste in your body and make sure you are clean, light, and flowing as possible.

These results are achieved by the various types of food that you consume during this diet. Let it be know that losing 10 pounds in three days is rarely recommended by the various health associations, but it is possible if you are willing to stick with it and work hard.

To increase your chances or likelihood of achieving this goal, you should probably do some physical fitness to maximize the metabolism rate in your body and to help you burn those calories.

3 Day Diet Plans

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Believe it or not there are a lot of 3 day diet plans out there to choose from. And it can be quite overwhelming trying to decide which is the best for you and your needs. Well, relax because we are going to go over a few of the major ones for you to choose from and knock out the anxiety of having to start from scratch with your research. Leave that to us and you focus on losing the weight as healthily has possible.

3 Day Diet Warning

Before we get into the content and the various diet plans that you have to choose from, I would be ashamed if I didn’t take a paragraph to tell you that not all diets, or even 3 day diet plans, are good for you. In fact, in many cases the total opposite is true. They can be very bad for you. The ones that we have selected in this piece are not as bad as many we have seen, but you should still proceed with caution. And please, please, please do not do any 3 day diet back to back times. This can be very dangerous to your health as many of these diets lack all the proper nutrition you need to survive, thrive, and be healthy.

3 Day Diet History

The 3 day diet craze was born in 1985 with all the other fad diets that came out of the era. It is my opinion, that people had more discretionary spending, time on their hands, and with the birth of the MTV generation there were more and more beautiful and thin people on the television. This made the self image of the people a little lower than it had been in previous decades and thus they started to want to look like the beautiful celebrities on tv and needed to reshape their physical appearance. This was the launch of the fad diets that saw everything from apple diets to nothing but vegetables. The 3 day diet plans were born in these times and wasn’t expected to make it out of the 80′s, but these fad diets fooled everyone and is still around.

Types of 3 Day Diet Plans

Now that the warnings and history are out of the way, let’s get into the different types of 3 day diet plans that are out there for you to explore, consider and try. Remember, there is no replacement for regular physical fitness and property eating of nutritional foods, but a short lived diet can produce the short term results that you might be looking for. Let’s take a look at the more popular diet plans.

3 Day Diet

The basic 3 day diet is the basis for all the other types of diets in this category. And when people mention this diet, they could be really talking about any one on the list. Nevertheless, the aim of this diet like the other 3 day diets is go get the metabolism rate up and increase the regularity of your bowls to remove the access waste from your body. The increase in metabolism is done with the aim of increasing the rate at which you burn calories.

3 Day Cardiac Diet

This diet is rumored to be good for heart patients as they lose weight for surgery. Don’t fall into this myth as it has been debunked quite a few times, but it is effective at doing what 3 day diets were intended to do, which was increase the metabolism and regularity of the body.

3 Day Chemical Breakdown Diet

This diet falls into line with the rest of the 3 day diet fads with an extra emphasis on breaking down the food and waste in your body for removal. More fruits and vegetables are used in this process and it seems to be quite effective at keeping you regular.

3 Day Grapefruit Diet

As the name implies, grapefruit is the key ingredient in this diet. And no, you don’t have eat only grapefruit for this diet, but you will digest more than you would in a typical three day span. I don’t really mind this diet at all as I love grapefruit and it is true, they are good and healthy for you.

3 Day Heart Diet

As with the cardio diet, this 2 day heard diet plan is suppose to be good for your heart and patients as they wait for surgery. And as mentioned earlier, this myth was debunked. Nevertheless, if you are interested in this diet, it is healthy for you if done one time and not in successive intervals.

3 Day Hospital Diet

As we mentioned in the introduction, 3 day diets come in many different names and are often the same thing. It just depends on who you are talking to at the moment. The 3 day hospital diet is similar to the cardio and heart 3 day diets as well. The myth has been debunked about the patients, but the plan is good and healthy for you if you are able to follow it up with regular exercise and property, healthy eating.

3 Day Tuna Diet

The 3 day tuna diet is not one for me, but I am not a tuna kind of person. But as the name indicates, you will be eating tuna pretty much with each meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you can stomach tuna or even like it, this might be the diet plan for you.

Which 3 Day Diet Plan is right for You?

This is a question that only you can answer. Take a moment to visit each of these diet plans as they are linked in the article. Find out which one fits more with your lifestyle and taste buds. Then, go for it. It is by only by investigating and trying the 3 day diet plans will you be able to find the one that is right for you, your body, and your needs.

3 Day Miracle Diet

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

There are many people looking to lose weight and would like do it sooner than later, the 3 day diet might be the solution that you are looking for. Just beware there is much more to keeping the weight off than temporarially loosing it.

About the 3 Day Miracle Diet

All of the 3 day diet fads are a by product of 1985. It was an interesting time period as the health of the society started to become a great priority. If you think about our society dating back to the 1940′s, 1950′s, and 1960′s, these were times of great expansion, rising incomes, and industry. Money started to roll through the country and as the hypnotic phases of the 60′s and 70′s wore off, people woke up in the eighties with a new vision.

This group of adults were living the American dream, had disposable income, the MTV generation, and wanted to improve their outside appearances. This is when the diet, weight loss and fitness craze really gained its legs.

Out of this time period came the fad diets that promised everyone could lose anywhere from 5 to 50 pounds in just a matter of days and weeks. The three day diet fads really gained steam as well during these times. Some of the others are 3 day heart diet, 3 day hospital diet, and the 3 day tuna diet and many more.

How the 3 Day Miracle Diet Works

The idea behind the 3 day miracle diet is to get your body’s metabolism rate up so you can burn energy and fat, while developing your digestive system along the way to keep your system clean and flushed out. If this is done effectively, proper feeding and dieting can be effective in a short period of time, but in most cases it is not recommended.

The key to any diet or eating plan is to listen to your body and follow it’s lead. If your body is telling you that it is hurting and needs some rest, then follow the bodies orders.

The 3 Day Miracle Diet Menu Plan

Enough of the talking, let’s get to the good stuff and show you the menu plan so you an make a decision on if you want to pursue the 3 day  miracle diet.

Day One

3 Day Miracle Review

I can’t properly review the 3 day miracle diet because I haven’t tried it. It seems like it is a decent solution for a short term problem, but without an healthy sustained way of eating and living, then your results will not be permanante.

I would caution that you do not repeat the 3 day miracle diet back to back at any time. Your body needs a wide variety of fruits, vegetable, and vitamins in order to survive and they are not included in this diet consistently.

Have you tried this diet? Have questions? Follow along in the forum for more information on the 3 day miracle diet.

About The 3 Day Cardiac Diet

The 3 Day Cardiac Diet is a popular “fad” diet based on original 3 Day Diet. The new derivative was allegedly created by the Birmingham Hospital in Alabama to help cardiac patients lose weight quickly in order to prepare for surgery.

The history of this diet is purely conjecture and most likely untrue. The idea that a Hospital would need a patient to lose weight for surgery is odd, and the idea that they would need patients to lose weight quickly and with an unhealthy diet is absurd.

Before attempting the 3 Day Cardiac Diet you should consult you family physician or a nutritionist to see if the diet is right for you.

Is The 3 Day Weight Loss Diet Healthy?

No. Losing 10 lbs of weight in just three days is very unlikely unless you are obese. If you are able to achieve these results it is most likely water weight that was lost and not fat. Which means you will eventually regain the weight that you lost once you return to your normal daily routine.

The 3 Day Weight Loss Diet is not a healthy way to lose weight. A balanced nutrition and exercise plan will allow your body to burn fat and build muscle that will help you become healthier and reach your goal weight more quickly than any yo-yo or fad diet.

The 3 Day Diet is often misnomered to as the Cleveland Clinic 3 Day Diet. Spokesperson Cindy Moore for the Cleveland Clinic says the clinic has no official diet and does not recommend patients or anybody participate in the 3 Day Weight Loss Diet.

Cindy was quoted by WebMD as saying

“Hands down, the 3 Day Diet is not conducive to changing habits or encouraging a healthier lifestyle, which are fundamental to weight control,”

and

“It is an urban legend that is not nutritionally sound, and the only reason it causes weight loss is because it is so low in calories, not because of any food combinations or metabolic reactions.”

About the 3 Day Weight Loss Diet

Throughout the last 3 decades the 3 day diet has grown and fell in popularity. It has been modified and has evolved to include and excluded different ideas, foods, and even a day of fasting in some rare cases. The one item that has consistently remained absent from the 3 day diet is any type of exercise plan.

I do not recommend participating in the three day diet as it will not help you build or maintain a healthy lifestyle, body, or relationship with food and exercise. And will not help you lose weight in a healthy way.

However if you are still interested in learning more about the 3 day diet search our website for 3 day diet menu or some of the other variations of the diet such as the 3 day apple diet or the 3 day army diet.

I consider the 3 Day Diet to be a yo-yo diet because it does not incorporate any type of exercise plan, or any long term goals or nutrition plans. If you complete the diet, which only lasts 3 days, you will quickly regain the weight and then need to restart the diet. You will be starting and stopping and continuously gaining and losing weight, much like the perpetual motion of a yo-yo.
